Why do you teach? I teach because it is the reason I was put on this earth. I began my career teaching my younger brother (much to his chagrin) when he was about four and I was five! I never wanted to be anything but a teacher. I want to pass on my love of knowledge to my students and hope they will find the satisfaction that comes from learning. I believe every student is capable of succeeding and will do whatever it takes to help each one realize his or her potential.
My Expectations of My students: I expect my students to try. Not everyone will succeed every time, but as long as effort is there; I will champion each student until he or she finds success! I also ask that they show respect toward their peers, the school, themselves, and me. I believe that teaching involves more than just imparting knowledge from books – we need to prepare our students to face the world!
